Lou Ann Weix is a certified registered nurse anesthetist. She was appointed to the Wisconsin Board of Nursing by Governor Jim Doyle and is heavily involved with the Wisconsin Association of Nurse Anesthetists (WANA). She has held several leadership positions within the WANA including President, Government Relations Chair, and Public Relations Chair. She also worked with a group of her colleagues and several legislators to forge legislation that allowed clinical nurse specialists, nurse midwives, nurse practitioners, and nurse anesthetists to prescribe within the scope of their practice, (APNP's). This legislation helped provide better access to healthcare services in inner-city and rural areas of Wisconsin. Weix has lived in Howard for the past 30 years and is active in the community.

Liz Jones is a candidate for the Wisconsin State Assembly for the 29th District. She lives in Woodville, Wisconsin and has an adult son named Jordan who is attending Chippewa Valley Technical College.

Serving those in need and creating policy to better our communities is her passion.  She has worked in business environments and in the field of social justice and human rights and has served in a variety of roles in local public policy. She currently works at a law firm in Hudson, teaches yoga, and offers community wellness classes. 

Her education includes a Master's degree in organizational leadership with a concentration in strategic management, as well as legal training. Her education focused on ethics and leadership and helped her to develop as an Ethical, Effective, and Enduring leader.
